I hope to share stories of my pet's (past and present). They do some of the craziest things. They either make me laugh or piss me off everyday.

No! Bad Dog!
Daisy put her sniffer to work and discovered a package of liver that my husband had forgot to put away a little earlier. It was in the bag with the onions and he must have overlooked it. I looked in the kitchen and she was happily in there pushing the liver package around on the floor eating as much as she could. I was grossed out. Raw meat is not something that I feed my dogs. Luckily it didn't make her sick and it was a cheap piece of meat, so no harm was really done.

Smart Dogs
I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday and purchased the girls each 1 stuffed toy. I came home and set the bags on the floor by the kitchen table. I didn't give the dogs their new toys. I was home for about 30 minutes when they come out of the kitchen each carrying a toy with the tag still on it. Nobody gave them the toys. They are so smart they helped themselves to them. They were so proud as they came trotting out of the kitchen.

Trip to the bus stop and an old story
I took Daisy outside to my daughters bus stop this morning. It was like trying to wrestle a wild animal trying to get the leash on her. She didn't lead very well either. She was bouncing at me and then pulling pretty good. She was also doing a good bit of barking in the few minutes that we were out there. The last time she was on a leash had been months ago when the weather was warmer. I need to start taking her out more so that she can learn some manners. It's hard though to get out the door with only one dog. This morning Tequila was in her crate and Oscar was still upstairs sleeping or I wouldn't of even attempted to take her out.
Usually in the mornings I have to put Daisy and Tequila both into the crate. Several months ago, I had left them to their own devices while I went outside to the bus with my daughter. She got on the bus...I came back to the house....I walked up on the porch to the door.... I turned the knob and pushed....the door wouldn't open. It was LOCKED! The dead bolt was locked! I don't lock the door when I go to the bus stop, and my keys were still in the house. I didn't lock the door. Daisy and Tequila had been jumping at the door after I had gone outside and they turned the dead bolt. I was locked out by my own dogs. Luckily the back door wasn't locked so I was able to get inside.

Lizard Doctor
My daughter has a pet Anole lizard. They make an excellent low maintenance pet. Throw them some crickets a little bit of water and some bedding and they are usually good to go. My daughter named her Lizard...Blenda...since Blenda has the ability to change color from a bright green to shades of brown. Yesterday I had to play lizard doctor and remove a piece of cage bedding from Blenda's eye. The bedding was that fine crushed (some kind of nut) shell bedding. It's in small pieces almost like sand. It kinda looked like poor Blenda had a piece of sand in her eye.
Dog Hair
I love my dogs...I really do. I just sometimes wish they were bald.
the amount of hair that they shed is completely ridiculous.
Yesterday, I went to Wal-mart with my daughter. I noticed my foot had started to hurt like there was something stuck in it. We left the store and went to my Mom's where I could finally check it out to see what was making it hurt. It was a piece of dog hair! I had a piece of hair in the bottom of my foot like a splinter! How does that happen? LOL Luckily it was relatively easy to get out and now my foot is fine once again.
